Some weddings have beautiful views. Others have incredible dance floors. Camryn and Ethan Broker's wedding at Lake of the Ozarks had both — and so much more!
From an intimate lakeside ceremony and boat transportation to an unforgettable grand entrance, a surprise mother-daughter dance, and a packed dance floor, this celebration was one for the books.
As the owner of Jazzy Josh DJ & Events, I get to travel throughout Missouri helping couples create wedding celebrations that feel like them. And Camryn and Ethan's wedding at Station 46 Marina in Gravois Mills, Missouri, was a perfect example of how great music, thoughtful planning, and an energetic crowd come together.
A Beautiful Lakeside Wedding Ceremony in Gravois Mills
Camryn and Ethan began their wedding day with an outdoor ceremony at a private waterfront property overlooking Lake of the Ozarks.
With family and friends gathered beneath the trees and the water providing a beautiful backdrop, the setting couldn't have been much better.
For this ceremony, we used a separate battery-powered sound system, allowing us to provide clear ceremony music and microphone coverage without relying on nearby electrical outlets.
The ceremony soundtrack featured meaningful country and acoustic selections, including Chris Stapleton's "Joy of My Life," Cody Johnson's "The Painter," and a special bridal entrance featuring Noah Kahan's "End of August."
One of my favorite details was coordinating the timing of Camryn's entrance with the music as she made her way down the aisle.

After the ceremony, guests boarded boats for the trip to the reception. Not many weddings can say their guests arrived at cocktail hour by boat!
A Waterfront Reception at Station 46 Marina
The celebration continued at Station 46 Marina in Gravois Mills, where guests enjoyed a covered, open-air reception space overlooking the lake.
With beautiful waterfront views, string lighting, and plenty of room for celebrating, it was a fantastic setting for a Lake of the Ozarks wedding reception.
Our reception setup included professional DJ sound equipment, wireless microphones for announcements and toasts, and dance floor lighting to help transition the space from an elegant dinner to an energetic nighttime party.
Because the ceremony and reception were held at separate locations, we prepared the main reception sound system ahead of time while using a separate setup for the ceremony.
This allowed cocktail-hour music to begin at Station 46 while we finished the ceremony and transitioned between locations.

A Grand Entrance Nobody Will Forget
Camryn and Ethan wanted their grand entrance to be fun, memorable, and full of personality.
And they absolutely delivered!
The groomsmen kicked things off with "Swag Surfin'" by Fast Life Yungstaz, followed by the bridal party entering to Pitbull's "Damn I Love Miami."
Then came the big moment.
Camryn entered to RAYE's "WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!" before Ethan made his entrance right on the musical drop.
It was hilarious, perfectly timed, and completely their style.
We followed it up by officially introducing Mr. and Mrs. Broker to their family and friends.

A Surprise Mother-Daughter Dance That Made the Night Even More Special
One of the most memorable moments of the evening wasn't about big speakers or party lights.
It was about family.
Following the traditional wedding dances, Camryn had one more special moment planned: a surprise dance with her mom.
After sharing a few heartfelt words, Camryn invited her mother onto the dance floor for "Mama's Song" by Carrie Underwood.
Watching them share that moment was a reminder of why I love being part of weddings.
As a wedding DJ and MC, my job goes beyond choosing songs. It's also about helping couples create meaningful memories, coordinating the timing of special moments, and making sure everything flows naturally.

From Wedding Reception to Full-On Dance Party
Once the formalities wrapped up, it was time to turn up the energy!
And this crowd did not disappoint.
Camryn and Ethan's guests brought incredible energy to the dance floor, and the music kept everyone moving throughout the evening.

Hip-hop and R&B favorites
Country party anthems
Pop singalongs
Modern dance and rap requests
We mixed favorites from artists like Usher, Pitbull, Rihanna, Morgan Wallen, Nicki Minaj, Wiz Khalifa, and plenty more.
As the evening went on, the glow sticks came out, the party lights filled the pavilion, and the dance floor stayed busy.
There were huge singalong moments, energetic throwback sets, and plenty of guest requests that kept the party moving.
The best wedding dance floors aren't built around a rigid playlist. They're built by reading the crowd, knowing when to change direction, and mixing the songs that get people excited.
That's the approach we bring to every wedding celebration across Missouri.
To close out the night, Camryn and Ethan chose "Best Love Song" by T-Pain featuring Chris Brown.
