There's something special about fall weddings in Missouri. The crisp October air, changing leaves, warm lighting, and beautiful outdoor settings make this one of my favorite times of year to DJ weddings.
On October 17, 2026, I had the pleasure of celebrating Emma and Nate Scott's wedding at A Secret Place Weddings & Events in Jamestown, Missouri. From their outdoor ceremony to a reception filled with music, dancing, and memorable moments, it was a wonderful day to be part of!

An Outdoor Fall Wedding Ceremony at A Secret Place
Emma and Nate exchanged vows outdoors, surrounded by family, friends, and beautiful fall-inspired floral arrangements.
Their ceremony music reflected their personalities, with a romantic indie and alternative soundtrack that felt perfectly suited to the setting.

One of my favorite parts of providing wedding DJ and ceremony sound services is helping couples bring these carefully planned moments together. From timing the bride's entrance to ensuring the officiant can be heard clearly, those details make a real difference.
For Emma's entrance, we even had a specific musical cue planned so the doors would open at just the right moment in the song.
A Romantic Reception Under the Lights
After the ceremony, guests gathered beneath a beautiful reception tent decorated with white draping, greenery, floral accents, and strands of warm string lights.
As evening arrived, the entire space took on a cozy, romantic atmosphere.
My DJ setup included professional sound and dance floor lighting, allowing us to transition from relaxed background music during cocktail hour and dinner into a lively celebration later in the evening.
The couple chose a relaxed grand entrance to "Home" by Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, followed by special dances with their families.
Their first dance to "Until I Found You" by Stephen Sanchez and Em Beihold was a beautiful moment.
A Wedding Playlist That Reflected the Couple
One thing I really appreciated about working with Emma and Nate was their musical taste.
They wanted their wedding to feel like them, blending indie and alternative favorites with nostalgic 2000s hits, R&B, hip-hop, and late-night party music.
Their requests included everything from The Killers and BØRNS to Ne-Yo, Nelly Furtado, A$AP Rocky, and Waka Flocka Flame.
Rather than relying on a generic wedding playlist, we built the music around their preferences while leaving room to read the crowd and keep everyone having fun.
That's a big part of my approach at Jazzy Josh DJ & Events: every couple deserves a wedding soundtrack that reflects their personalities.
A Packed Dance Floor and a Great Night
Once the formalities wrapped up, it was time to celebrate!
The dance floor came alive with friends and family enjoying the music, singing along, and making memories beneath the tent lights.
From familiar crowd favorites to the couple's favorite party tracks, the reception had a great mix of music and energy.
The celebration continued into the night, eventually wrapping up with "The Matrimony" by Wale featuring Usher and "Closing Time" by Semisonic.
It was the perfect ending to a beautiful fall wedding.
