Some weddings are memorable because of the beautiful setting. Others stand out because of the people, the music, and the energy on the dance floor.
Kiley and Blake Christian's October 23, 2026 wedding at Berkshire Ridge in Blackwell, Missouri had all of that and more!
What made this wedding especially memorable for me was how quickly everything came together. I was brought in as their wedding DJ just days before the big day, and I'm so glad I had the opportunity to help make their celebration everything they deserved.
From a beautiful fall lakeside ceremony to one of the wildest dance floors I've experienced this season, this wedding was an absolute blast!
A Beautiful Fall Wedding at Berkshire Ridge
October is one of my favorite months for weddings in Missouri, and Berkshire Ridge Wedding Venue provided an incredible backdrop for Kiley and Blake's celebration.
Located just south of the St. Louis area in Blackwell, Berkshire Ridge sits on a beautiful 150-acre countryside property with scenic outdoor ceremony spaces, a lake, and an impressive indoor reception area.
Their ceremony took place beside the water, surrounded by trees beginning to show their fall colors. The floral arch, rustic seating, and peaceful setting made for some incredible wedding photos.
Live violin music from Alyssa added a special touch as guests arrived and the wedding party made their way down the aisle.
With Pastor Rick Pirtle officiating and their closest family and friends gathered around, it was a beautiful way to begin the celebration.
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour while the newlyweds took photos around the property.
For couples looking for a countryside wedding venue near St. Louis, Berkshire Ridge is definitely worth checking out. You can explore the property and schedule a tour through the official Berkshire Ridge website.
A Last-Minute Wedding DJ Booking That Came Together Perfectly
One thing I've learned as a Missouri wedding DJ is that sometimes the unexpected happens, even when couples have spent months planning every detail.
I received the opportunity to DJ Kiley and Blake's wedding just a few days before their celebration.
That meant getting up to speed quickly on their timeline, ceremony audio needs, music selections, special dances, and reception details.
Fortunately, Kiley and Blake had a clear vision for their celebration, and working alongside Kim and the Berkshire Ridge team helped everything come together smoothly.
My goal was simple: take the stress of the music and entertainment off their shoulders so they could focus on enjoying their wedding day.
From making sure the ceremony microphones were ready to coordinating introductions, speeches, special dances, and the final send-off, every detail mattered.
And judging by that dance floor, I'd say we accomplished exactly that!
Grand Entrances That Set the Tone
Once guests made their way inside for the reception, it was time to turn up the energy.
Kiley and Blake's wedding party entered to a custom mashup of Waka Flocka Flame's "Grove St. Party" and "No Hands."
Each pair made their entrance to plenty of cheering before we welcomed the newlyweds with T.I.'s "Bring Em Out."
It was the perfect way to kick off a reception that was going to be anything but boring!
After the entrances, Pastor Rick offered a blessing, and guests enjoyed dinner accompanied by romantic oldies, Motown classics, and upbeat favorites.
The beautiful reception space at Berkshire Ridge really came alive as the evening progressed. Between the rustic wood details, chandeliers, lighting, and packed dance floor, it was an awesome atmosphere for a wedding celebration.
Couples interested in the venue can also find additional information through the De Soto Chamber of Commerce's Berkshire Ridge listing.
Special Dances and Meaningful Moments
Before opening the dance floor, we celebrated some of the people who mean the most to Kiley and Blake.
Their reception included a first dance, a special mother-son dance featuring a custom song, a father-daughter dance to Chuck Wicks' "Stealing Cinderella," and a family dance.
I always love these moments because they're such a personal part of the wedding day. Every couple has their own traditions, family relationships, and songs that mean something special to them.
Later in the evening, we also made time for an anniversary dance, celebrating the married couples in attendance.
These moments created a wonderful balance between the emotional side of the wedding and the high-energy celebration that followed.
That's one of the things I enjoy most about providing wedding DJ and MC services. It's not just about playing music. It's about helping all those special moments flow naturally throughout the evening.
One of the Wildest Wedding Dance Floors of the Fall!
Now, let's talk about that party!
Kiley and Blake wanted their reception to start with music everyone could enjoy before transitioning into a high-energy mix of 2000s hip-hop, college-party throwbacks, and modern favorites.
We started with crowd-pleasers from artists like Earth, Wind & Fire, ABBA, and Whitney Houston before shifting into a completely different gear.
As the night went on, the dance floor filled with guests singing, dancing, jumping, and celebrating together.
We mixed in music from Mac Miller, Kid Cudi, Nelly, Usher, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, and plenty of other throwback favorites.
There were group dances, huge singalongs, and even a memorable beer bong moment that had the crowd cheering!
It was one of those receptions where you could tell everyone came ready to have a good time.
And as a wedding DJ, there's nothing better than looking out from behind the booth and seeing a packed dance floor full of people enjoying themselves.
It's exactly why I love doing this!

A Private Last Dance and Sparkler Send-Off
After an incredible night of dancing, we wrapped things up with one final public singalong before guests headed outside to prepare for the sparkler exit.
With the reception space cleared, Kiley and Blake shared a private last dance to Paul Anka's "Put Your Head on My Shoulder."
I love private last dances because they give couples a chance to enjoy a quiet moment together after such a busy day.
No announcements, no crowd, and no distractions. Just the two of them and their music.
Afterward, they made their way outside for a beautiful sparkler send-off surrounded by their family and friends.
It was the perfect ending to an unforgettable celebration.
Thank You, Kiley & Blake!
Kiley and Blake, thank you so much for trusting me with your wedding day, especially with everything coming together on such short notice!
I'm incredibly grateful I had the opportunity to celebrate with you, your families, and your friends.
From the beautiful lakeside ceremony to that absolutely crazy dance floor, your wedding was one I'll remember for a long time.
Congratulations again to the new Mr. and Mrs. Christian!
And a special thanks to Kim and the team at Berkshire Ridge for helping make the day run smoothly.
