But that’s exactly what we created in Jefferson City.
Jazzy Josh DJ & Events partnered with Boost Mobile for a high-energy promotional event, and my role went far beyond just playing music. This was about creating momentum, drawing people in, and making sure the energy stayed up from start to finish.
From the moment things kicked off, I was actively on the mic—welcoming people in, highlighting giveaways, and directing attention to everything happening under the tent.
Because at an event like this, people don’t just show up—you have to pull them in.
That’s where strong MC work makes the difference.
Throughout the event, I focused on:
Actively hyping the crowd and creating excitement around the space
Making clear, engaging announcements that actually got people to stop and listen
Driving attention to the prize wheel, giveaways, and Boost Mobile offers
Keeping a steady flow of energy so there was never a “dead” moment
As people walked or drove by, they heard the energy before they even saw the setup—and that’s what got them to turn in, walk over, and check things out.
Once they were there, the combination of music, interaction, and ongoing announcements kept them engaged and participating.
That’s the real goal of a promo event:
Not just background noise—but creating an experience that draws a crowd and keeps them there.
